Tampering with organic claims in cosmetics: lack of action

A news item of Nieuwsuur (aired on 12 Nov 2024) highlights significant issues surrounding organic cosmetics:

Lack of regulation, misuse of certifications, lack of enforcement, and misleading platforms. This could lead to eroding trust in organic products, and unfair competition.

The products of Butterwise are certified by Skal, the only organic control authority in the Netherlands, assigned by the Ministry of Agriculture.
